Malcolm's business career commenced in the life insurance industry in the early 1970s. It was in this industry that Malcolm first worked and interacted with sales professionals - he enjoyed the encounter. In the mid 1970s he was promoted to the Investments Division within National Mutual and this brought him in contact with the real estate industry especially in the commercial property sector. After leaving the insurance industry in the late 1970's and after completing his business degree at QUT Malcolm began his sales career within the IT industry (UNISYS). In those eight years with UNISYS he had undertaken a range of roles from sales to marketing management (Account Manager, Sales Manager & Marketing Manager).
Rod Bamberry has over twenty-five years experience within the real estate and property industry. His introduction to the industry in the late 1980s was as a corporate communications advisor and marketing consultant to Raine & Horne (Qld). Rod’s strong advertising, media and marketing capabilities were key success factors in helping to develop Raine & Horne (Qld) to become one of the market leaders in those years. It was during his time at Raine & Horne that Rod identified that there was a strong relationship between sales success, ongoing training/education and professional mentoring. In recent years Rod has focused on these critical success ingredients not only through his own study (MBA) and research (MProfSt) but through his 'hands on' consulting and coaching within the industry (Chesterton Commercial Qld, Hillsea Real Estate Group & Nicol Property Group). Rod held the positions of Marketing Director advisor/consultant and then also as a Director, to the highly successful boutique real estate franchise group, Realway Australia Real Estate, until its sale to another property consortium. As Co-National President of the NREA Rod is keen to continue his commitment to the critical success factors of ongoing training and mentoring.
